About The Position

Plans, evaluates, and implements high-quality medical care with appropriate resource management for adult and pediatric patients in cooperation with center physicians. The role delivers patient care in accordance with professional staff bylaws, rules and regulations, and WellStreet Urgent Care policies and procedures. It also supports patient and staff education, accurate clinical documentation, communication and reimbursement processes, urgent care center operations, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program of study.
• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in accordance with South Carolina state requirements.
• Two years of experience in urgent care or emergency medicine.
• Eligibility for credentialing as part of the WellStreet Urgent Care and Prisma medical staff.
• BLS certification is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other employees.

• Current DEA registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to WellStreet Urgent Care service and courtesy standards and deliver a high standard of patient satisfaction.
• Provide patient care in compliance with Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations, and WellStreet Urgent Care policies and procedures.
• Provide or serve as a resource for patient, family, and staff education.
• Provide an authenticated report of services rendered and maintain accurate, complete records.
• Complete necessary documentation and ensure communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement.
• Participate in meetings and activities required to support urgent care center operations.
• Participate in professional development activities and complete and maintain BLS or ACLS certification; maintain additional specialty training or certifications as required by the assigned area.
• Perform other responsibilities as required.
