About The Position

Community Health Center of Central Wyoming (CHCCW) is seeking a PRN (as needed basis) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Quick Care unit in Casper, WY. CHCCW's mission is to provide affordable, high-quality healthcare services to residents of Central Wyoming, regardless of income, with compassion, dignity, and respect. The Quick Care urgent care in Casper provides high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages in a fast-paced clinical environment, Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. This is an as-needed position, working less than 20 hours per week, treating non-life-threatening conditions with shorter wait times and lower costs than the emergency room. Laboratory, X-Ray, and Pharmacy services are available on-site. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries, collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and support personnel for exceptional patient care. Work is performed in a typical outpatient clinic environment and periodically at other locations outside the office, with some travel required to rural health clinics throughout central Wyoming. The role also requires sensitivity to the needs of special populations, including those defined by race, ethnicity, language, age, sex, sexual orientation, economic standing, and disabilities.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a recognized and accredited training program for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants
  • Licensure by the State of Wyoming
  • Licensure by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
  • Demonstrate competency in clinic skills necessary to perform a range of primary care services
  • Ability to work and interact effectively and positively with other staff members to build and enhance teamwork throughout the clinic setting
  • Successful completion of substance abuse testing as a condition of employment

  • Previous work in an Urgent Care setting is preferred
