About The Position

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, located in beautiful Northeast Florida, is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Hematology/Medical Oncology team within the Division of Cancer Medicine. In support of our mission, we recently opened a 330,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility dedicated solely to oncology care—designed to enhance the patient experience and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Hematology and Medical Oncology team located at Baptist South. This role provides the opportunity to care for a complex oncology population across both inpatient and outpatient settings while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The NP will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the continuum of cancer treatment, from diagnosis through active therapy, survivorship, and supportive care.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current Florida licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Nice To Haves

• Oncology experience preferred
• New graduates with strong oncology interest and relevant clinical training will be considered

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of adult patients with hematologic malignancies and solid tumors in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Conduct new patient consultations, follow-up visits, treatment-related assessments, and symptom management visits
• Manage patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and other systemic treatments, including monitoring for and managing treatment-related toxicities
• Collaborate closely with attending physicians, nursing, pharmacy, infusion services, and other multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Participate in inpatient rounding, admissions, discharges, and transitions of care as assigned
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, symptom management, and supportive care needs
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, and perform procedures within scope of practice and collaborative agreements
• Document clinical care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Support quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and institutional goals
