About The Position

MercyOne Northeast Iowa is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology team supporting both Electrophysiology (EP) and Interventional Cardiology services. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, high-acuity specialty practice alongside experienced physicians and a strong APP team. The role involves a blend of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, participation in the management of complex cardiac patients, and a strong team-based care model with physician collaboration. A structured onboarding and mentorship program is provided, with a Monday-Friday schedule and shared call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP/AGNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Eligible for Iowa licensure
• Strong clinical judgment and team collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

• Cardiology experience preferred
• Candidates with strong acute care or internal medicine backgrounds are encouraged to apply
• Interest in EP and Interventional Cardiology preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions.
• Provide care in both clinic and hospital settings.
• Support EP and Interventional services including: Arrhythmia management, Post-procedure care (pacemakers, ablations, cath lab cases), Heart disease management.
• Perform rounding, consults, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and care coordinators.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and lifestyle modifications.
