About The Position
A well-established, not-for-profit healthcare system in the Seattle area is actively seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner – Neurology to join its growing neuroscience team. The organization participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. This role involves providing outpatient neurology care for adult patients in collaboration with neurologists and specialty providers. The Nurse Practitioner will evaluate, diagnose, and manage a range of neurological conditions, conduct patient consultations and follow-up visits, and collaborate with physicians and other specialists on treatment planning and care coordination. Responsibilities also include assisting with neurological assessments, medication management, patient education, interpreting diagnostic studies, and maintaining accurate EMR documentation.
Requirements
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Active or eligible for Washington State licensure
- Active/eligible DEA registration
- Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in neurology, internal medicine, or primary care preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient neurology care for adult patients in collaboration with neurologists and specialty providers
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage neurological conditions including headaches, epilepsy, neuropathy, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, stroke follow-up, and multiple sclerosis
- Conduct patient consultations, follow-up visits, and ongoing care management
- Collaborate closely with physicians, rehabilitation specialists, and primary care providers on treatment planning and care coordination
- Assist with neurological assessments, medication management, and patient education
- Interpret and review diagnostic studies including EEGs, MRIs, CT scans, and laboratory results as appropriate
- Educate patients and families regarding neurological conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
