About The Position

A well-established, not-for-profit healthcare system in the Seattle area is actively seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner – Neurology to join its growing neuroscience team. The organization participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. This role involves providing outpatient neurology care for adult patients in collaboration with neurologists and specialty providers. Responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and managing neurological conditions such as headaches, epilepsy, neuropathy, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, stroke follow-up, and multiple sclerosis. The Nurse Practitioner will conduct patient consultations, follow-up visits, and ongoing care management, while collaborating closely with physicians, rehabilitation specialists, and primary care providers on treatment planning and care coordination. Duties also include assisting with neurological assessments, medication management, patient education, and interpreting diagnostic studies like EEGs, MRIs, CT scans, and laboratory results. The role requires educating patients and families regarding neurological conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications, and maintaining accurate documentation in EMR systems.

Requirements

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP)
  • Active or eligible for Washington State licensure
  • Active/eligible DEA registration
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Prior experience in neurology, internal medicine, or primary care preferred
