About The Position

A well-established, not-for-profit healthcare system in the Seattle area is actively seeking a full-time Pulmonary / Sleep Medicine Nurse Practitioner (Pulm/Sleep APP) to join its growing specialty team. The organization participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. This role involves providing outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine care for adult patients, evaluating, diagnosing, and managing various pulmonary conditions and sleep-related disorders. The position requires conducting patient consultations, follow-up visits, and treatment planning, while collaborating closely with pulmonologists and sleep medicine physicians. Responsibilities include interpreting diagnostic studies, educating patients on treatments and lifestyle modifications, and ordering/interpreting labs and imaging.

Requirements

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Active or eligible for Washington State licensure
  • Active/eligible DEA registration
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in pulmonary, sleep medicine, internal medicine, or primary care preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine care for adult patients
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage pulmonary conditions such as COPD, asthma, chronic cough, and pulmonary infections
  • Assess and manage sleep-related disorders including sleep apnea, insomnia, and hypersomnia
  • Conduct patient consultations, follow-up visits, and treatment planning
  • Collaborate closely with pulmonologists and sleep medicine physicians on comprehensive care plans
  • Interpret sleep studies, pulmonary function tests (PFTs), and diagnostic imaging as appropriate
  • Educate patients on CPAP/BiPAP therapy, medication management, smoking cessation, and lifestyle modifications
  • Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
