About The Position
Providence St. Joseph Health is seeking one Advanced Practice provider for locum tenens coverage at Covenant Children's Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. The assignment is inpatient and hospital-based, covering one week per month from January 1, 2027, through January 1, 2028. Shifts are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with eight guaranteed hours per day, and no night call is required. The provider will perform daytime rounding focused on lower-acuity patients in the regular NICU unit. The facility uses Epic. Cardiovascular surgery cases are referred elsewhere for intervention. Credentialing is estimated to take 90 days.
Requirements
- Active license or IMLC.
- DEA registration.
- Board certification.
- BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.
- Current CV must be uploaded with the bid.
- For regular NP reappointment, documentation must show completion within the past 24 months of 5 lumbar punctures, 5 arterial line procedures, 5 central line procedures, 5 chest tube procedures, and 5 airway management/intubation procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient neonatal advanced practice coverage in the regular NICU.
- Perform daytime rounding focused on lower-acuity patients.
- Cover one week per month, working 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
