About The Position

University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UMUCH), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), has an opening available for a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). The position will be primarily based in a brand-new, state-of-the-art, free-standing facility in Aberdeen, MD. Under the direction of the Medical Director of Behavioral Health Services, the Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner will assist attending Behavioral Health physicians in all aspects of psychiatric care. All work will be performed in close collaboration with attending physicians responsible for the patient. Psychiatric services will be provided in a variety of settings, including Inpatient, Psychiatric Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient, as well as an Urgent Care Walk-In setting. This role offers a Monday through Friday work schedule with a manageable, compensated call rotation shared among five providers, fostering a healthy work/life balance. Requirements

Master of Science with completion of a PMH Nurse Practitioner program.
Hold an unrestricted license in the state of practice.
At least two years of patient care experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

Responsibilities

Assist attending Behavioral Health physicians in all aspects of psychiatric care.
Provide psychiatric services in a variety of settings, including Inpatient, Psychiatric Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient, and Urgent Care Walk-In.
Collaborate closely with attending physicians responsible for the patient.
