About The Position

The Nurse Manager provides clinical and operational leadership within a residential treatment facility serving male adolescents with substance use and co-occurring behavioral health disorders. This role ensures safe, trauma-informed, and developmentally appropriate nursing care while overseeing staff performance, regulatory compliance, and coordination with the interdisciplinary treatment team.

Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Nurse, licensed in Ohio, with a minimum of three years experience in nursing supervision
  • At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Criminal clearances (specific State & child clearances and, if necessary, FBI).
  • Non-communicable diseases physical exam.
  • Valid driver's license from employee’s state of residence.

Nice To Haves

  • Nursing leadership or charge experience preferred
  • Experience in behavioral health, SUD, residential, or adolescent care strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, co-occurring disorders, and youth development
  • Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviors while maintaining professional boundaries and a therapeutic environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct leadership and supervision to nursing staff in a 24/7 residential setting
  • Ensure delivery of safe, evidence-based, and trauma-informed nursing care for youth with SUD and behavioral health needs
  • Oversee medication administration, monitoring, and documentation in accordance with physician orders, licensing standards, and facility policies
  • Support staffing, scheduling, onboarding, training, performance management, and corrective action for nursing personnel
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatry, therapy, case management, education, and residential staff to support individualized treatment plans
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing, accreditation, infection control, medication management, and documentation requirements
  • Respond to clinical incidents, medical emergencies, and behavioral escalations with sound clinical judgment
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, audits, and utilization reviews
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to staff, promoting professional growth and accountability
