About The Position

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to oversee the Spine Operating Room. This full-time day shift position involves managing unit operations, leading a team of nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and departmental budgets. The role is crucial in delivering effective and efficient patient care within a supportive and inclusive environment.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

Oversee all nursing activities, workflows, and resource allocation while actively identifying and resolving issues to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of patient care.
Manage the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, training, development, and performance evaluation, while fostering a positive and professional work environment.
Maintain strict adherence to regulatory/accreditation standards and manage departmental finances by monitoring budgets and approving expenditures to ensure fiscal compliance.
