Requirements

  • 3 years RN experience, required
  • 1-year clinical leadership experience, required
  • High School GED required
  • A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN), required
  • Current RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required
  • BLS through the American Heart Association
  • Must sit for appropriate board certification within six months of hire or transfer into the role.
  • Certification must be passed/obtained within two years of hire or transfer into the role.
  • Clinical and/or Leadership certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
  • Credential: Nursing Specific- ANCC Approved

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • The Clinical Nursing Manager is responsible for the management of clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery on the assigned unit(s).
  • The role functions include management of human, fiscal, material, support and systems resources while achieving and maintaining the goals of a unit or department by focusing on the unit or department’s daily operations.
  • The Clinical Nursing Manager role demonstrates a high level of integrity, willingness to take on new challenges and prioritizes associate engagement.
  • This position consistently promotes a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers.
  • The Clinical Nursing Manager supports associate development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.
