About The Position

The Nurse Manager position is a managerial position accountable to the Director of Nursing and has responsibility for ensuring the overall efficient operation of the department in various aspects including creating, maintaining and managing a therapeutic milieu within the treatment program to ensure the safety of patients and staff. Collaborates with Clinical Services and other departments to accomplish the treatment goals of Turning Point.

Requirements

Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Georgia in good standing.
Ability to interact appropriately with all populations served and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated competence to participate in interdisciplinary formulation of individual treatment plans; to give skilled nursing care; and to direct, monitor, and evaluate the nursing care furnished.
BLS/CPR certification

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree preferred.
Four (4) years of experience as a RN. Experience in a behavioral health/substance abuse/psychiatric setting preferred.
Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing certifications preferred.
Positions of progressive responsibility including supervisory and/or administrative nursing roles preferred.
Knowledge and mastery of DSM-5 and biopsychosocial assessment preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervising RNs, LPNs, MHTs, and ancillary staff by making assignments and monitoring patient care
Providing quality nursing care to meet identified patient outcomes
Carrying out assigned functions according to philosophy, goal and objectives of the hospital and program unit
Contributing as an active part of the treatment team
Providing redirection & consistency
