About The Position

Centennial Peaks Hospital, a 104-bed facility in Louisville, CO, has been providing psychiatric services to the Denver-metro area for over 30 years. We offer unique and individualized programming for adolescents and adults, including treatment for mental illness and chemical dependency. Our dynamic leadership team includes a seasoned nursing department, ECT Therapy, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs. The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring the coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with established standards of care, mental health practice, and hospital policy, goals, and objectives. This role contributes to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational initiatives, and Performance & Improvement efforts. The Nurse Manager supervises House Supervisors, RNs, and BHAs, and monitors staffing needs on assigned shifts. Additionally, this position assists the CNO/ACNO in evaluating, reviewing, designing, and implementing hospital training events for all RN/BHA staff required training. On an as-needed basis, the Nurse Manager provides patient nursing assessments and participates in Treatment Team meetings.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in nursing management.
  • A minimum of (4) years of progressive nursing leadership experience, preferably in a psychiatric or behavioral healthcare setting.
  • Experience in staff education and education concepts, practices and procedures.
  • 24-hour shift staffing experience.
  • Current license to practice nursing in Colorado (or eligible to receive or renew).
  • Thorough knowledge of TJC, BHA, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • CPR certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Successful completion of training in Crisis Prevention Intervention (or similar training).
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives.
  • Assisting in contributing to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts.
  • Providing supervision of House Supervisors, RN’s and BHA’s.
