About The Position

The Nurse Intern performs basic nursing procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The role requires flexibility to accommodate rapidly changing assignments and carrying out assignments from the registered nurse with minimal continuous supervision. The Nurse Intern is accountable to the nursing team for the patient care provided during a shift, adheres to nursing care standards, and promotes teamwork among coworkers. The maximum length of time in the role is 15 months. Estimated pay is $23.50 per hour, depending on shift as applicable.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Actively enrolled in an ADN or BSN nursing program and within 15 months of completing the degree program.
• Successful completion of a medical-surgical nursing course and clinical rotation; the description also specifies completion of at least one clinical medical-surgical rotation.
• Upon graduation, successfully pass the NCLEX within 90 days.
• Maintain good standing in the nursing program.
