About The Position

CentraCare offers a paid, 10-week Summer Nurse Internship for nursing students to gain experience in a real-world clinical setting. The program provides more than 360 hours of hands-on clinical experience to help interns strengthen clinical judgment, build confidence, and connect classroom learning with clinical practice. Many interns receive job offers before graduation. The program runs June 7 through August 13, 2027, at CentraCare locations including St. Cloud Hospital, Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, Benson, Paynesville, Melrose, Sauk Centre, Long Prairie, and Redwood Hospital in Redwood Falls. Applications are considered for all available internship opportunities, and applicants may indicate their four preferred units. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to discuss unit preferences during a phone interview. This is a full-time, temporary internship paying $23.00 per hour. Interns work 72–80 hours every two weeks and follow their RN preceptor’s schedule. Availability is required for all shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts may be eight or 12 hours, or a combination depending on the unit. The position is not eligible for employee benefits.
