About The Position

This position is responsible for acting as a clinical educational resource for nursing unit personnel; facilitating the learning process and evaluating learning outcomes; planning, coordinating, and in conjunction with the Nursing Director, evaluating unit-specific orientation programs; participating in educational activities within the specific Department, the Patient Care Portfolio, and throughout the Hospital; and performing other related duties as required/assigned. The role requires demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years recent Surgical nursing experience
  • Demonstrated ability in communicating with and teaching adults
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
  • Current CRNM registration
  • Successful completion of the BLS Instructor Certificate (to be obtained at a time scheduled by the employer or at a time mutually agreed upon between the nurse and the employer)
