About The Position

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Nurse Educator for the Neurosurgical ICU to support nursing excellence through education, training, and professional development. This role focuses on developing and implementing educational programs, promoting evidence-based practice, and enhancing clinical competency across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Active Montana Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience and/or teaching experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in education, leadership, or staff development
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and program development
  • Proficiency with: Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with: Electronic Medical Records (EPIC preferred)
  • Proficiency with: Learning Management Systems
  • Proficiency with: Standard office and educational technology

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
  • Experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator or Staff Development Specialist
  • Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD) or specialty area
  • Instructor certifications (preferred): AHA, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., TeamSTEPPS

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing education programs
  • Coordinate orientation and onboarding for new nursing staff
  • Support preceptor development and transition-to-practice programs
  • Facilitate simulation training and competency validation
  • Deliver continuing education programs across the organization
  • Promote evidence-based nursing practices
  • Support implementation of best practices and clinical standards
  • Serve as a clinical resource for nursing procedures and guidelines
  • Act as program administrator for nursing procedures and education resources
  • Serve as Nurse Planner for continuing education programs
  • Ensure compliance with state and national accreditation standards
  • Monitor program effectiveness and revise based on outcomes
  • Partner with leadership to assess and address educational needs
  • Mentor and coach nursing staff for professional growth
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
