About The Position
A reputable healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, the ability to handle emergency situations, and experience taking on charge nurse responsibilities when needed.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (TX)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (Stroke Scale Certification)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- Experience managing a 1:4 patient ratio
- Ability to take on charge nurse responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients with varying acuity levels
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately
- Maintain a patient ratio of approximately 1:4
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Step into charge nurse responsibilities as needed
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety standards, and best practices
