About The Position

This role provides informatics support to clinical team members, focusing on the development, implementation, and optimization of clinical information systems. The goal is to ensure these systems enhance patient care, nursing workflows, and clinical decision-making. The position involves training healthcare professionals on new technologies and systems, acting as a liaison between clinical departments and IT (ISS), and analyzing clinical workflows for improvement opportunities that can be translated into system solutions or process changes. The Nurse Educator will also lead or participate in the implementation of new healthcare technologies, develop and deliver training on health information systems, and use data analytics and evidence-based research to support quality improvement initiatives. Participation in shared governance, change management, and the dissemination of informatics knowledge through preceptorship and research are also key aspects of the role. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze clinical workflows to identify areas for improvement and translate those into system solutions or process changes.
  • Lead or participate in the implementation of new healthcare technologies.
  • Develop and provide training and support to nursing and clinical staff on the use of health information systems.
  • Utilize data analytics and evidence based practice research to make informed decisions and support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in shared governance and change management process as it relates to informatics initiatives.
  • Support the dissemination of informatics knowledge through preceptorship and participation in research.
