About The Position

As part of an interdisciplinary team, the Community Mental Health Nurse provides a complex range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case management services to an adult community mental health population. The incumbent provides program consultation and co-ordination, evaluation of clinical interventions, clinical supervision, preceptor students in formal clinical practicum, and provides professional and public education regarding mental health issues and resources.

Requirements

Graduation from an approved school of psychiatric nursing or graduation from an approved school of general nursing supplemented by recognized training in psychiatric nursing.
Two years recent recognized clinical experience with clients in a mental health setting.
Possession of and ability to maintain a current registration as a Psychiatric Nurse in the Province of Saskatchewan (RPNAS).
Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).
Registered/eligible with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of SK.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work flexible hours.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a community mental health setting is desired.
Some assignments may require access to a vehicle for work.
