Nurse Assistant - Clinical Decision Unit
About The Position
The Nurse Assistant works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to support patient safety, comfort, and well-being. The role includes performing patient care duties, providing input to help the RN plan and implement care, and responding to emergent situations according to established procedures. The Nurse Assistant also participates in continuing education and upholds Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions. This position is with Henry Ford Health Novi Hospital’s Clinical Decision Unit. It is part-time, 24 hours per week, on a day schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Completion of a Nurse Assistant program, such as Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician; or current enrollment in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing; or foreign-trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license; or completion of a Medical Assistant program, with or without experience; or at least one year of previous experience in a similar role.
- Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification preferred.
