About The Position

The Nurse Assistant / Health Unit Coordinator supports patient care and unit operations on Med Surg 4S at Kettering Health Soin. The position provides direct assistance to patients with daily living activities and performs essential administrative and clerical functions. This dual role helps ensure effective communication, accurate record keeping, and a safe, organized environment for patients and staff. Other duties may be assigned. All job responsibilities are carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

Requirements

• No education required.
• At least 6 months of experience in patient care or administrative support in a healthcare setting, or Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in patient care or administrative support.
• Health Unit Coordinator certification.
• Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
• Current Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and active status on the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry.

Responsibilities
