Stockton, CA 95201 - Onsite Nurse Assessor - 1099 (RN) Contract $125 Per Assessment
About The Position
The Helper Bees is seeking an Independent Contracted Nurse to conduct face-to-face assessments in claimants’ homes. The role involves completing in-depth cognitive and functional assessments for older adults, documenting their current status objectively, and submitting accurate, structured assessments efficiently. Assessors coordinate scheduling with clients or their points of contact and submit completed assessments through an online application within 24 hours. The review team may request clarification by telephone within 48 hours of submission; an assessment is not complete until all requested clarifications are answered. This is a 1099 contract opportunity for supplemental income. Assessors are paid $125 per completed assessment within a 35-mile radius. Work opportunities are offered as they become available in the assessor’s area. A portable Windows computer or a tablet with a camera and reliable internet access are needed.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- At least 5 years of experience as an RN.
- Familiarity with medications and conditions common in the geriatric population.
- Reliable internet for submitting assessments.
- Portable computer with Windows or a tablet with a camera.
- Friendly, compassionate, dedicated, and patient demeanor.
- Prompt and thoughtful communication.
- Ability to learn technology quickly and current proficiency with computers.
Nice To Haves
- Previous quality assurance or chart audit/review experience.
Responsibilities
- Complete in-depth cognitive and functional assessments with clients in their homes.
- Complete structured assessments accurately and efficiently.
- Observe and objectively report the individual’s current status.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling with the client or their point of contact using the provided contact information.
- Submit each assessment through the online application within 24 hours.
- Respond to review-team clarification requests; assessments are not complete until all clarifications are answered.
