About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens CRNA position in Fredericksburg, VA, covering inpatient and outpatient settings. The role involves clinical duties and call responsibilities, with a schedule of 40 hours per week and call once every 8 weeks. The coverage period is ASAP and ongoing. The agency covers travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance. The patient demographics include adults and pediatrics. The facility utilizes the Epic EMR system and has a support staff of RNs, MAs, APPs, and office staff.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC)
- Virginia (VA) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Cardiac, Ortho, Vascular, Head Spine, Neuro, OB, Pedia, Regional, Thoracic cases
- Experience with Spinal, Epidural, Regional Anesthesia
- Experience with Pain Management
- Experience with Post-op Epidural and Extremity Blocks
- Experience with Transforminal procedures
- Experience with Vent Management, C-Lines, PA Catheter placement
- Experience with Eval and mgmt of acute volume/BP issues
Responsibilities
- Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for a variety of surgical cases
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, airway, and anesthetic depth throughout procedures
- Perform regional anesthesia techniques including spinal, epidural, and extremity blocks
- Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues intraoperatively
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure safe perioperative care
