About The Position
We are seeking a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a Locum Tenens position in Fortuna, CA. This inpatient role involves clinical duties plus on-call coverage. The coverage period is from December 1, 2026, ongoing, with a Monday-Friday, 7 am-3 pm shift schedule. Call coverage includes nights and weekends, with a beeper system and a 20-30 minute response time. This position is for supplemental coverage due to a need for additional support. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Valid CA State License
- DEA License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Experience with General Anesthesia
- Experience with Spinal Anesthesia
- Experience with Regional Anesthesia Surgery
- Experience with C-Lines and A-Lines
- Experience in Cardiology, Regional, and Thoracic cases
Responsibilities
- Provide general anesthesia for adult and pediatric patients for surgical procedures.
- Perform regional anesthesia techniques including spinal and epidural blocks.
- Place central lines and arterial lines for hemodynamic monitoring.
- Manage airway and ventilation during surgery and in emergent situations.
- Participate in on-call coverage for weekend and after-hours emergencies.
