Requirements

• Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry
• Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents
• Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA
• Ability to perform essential job functions
• Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Check and record vital signs, collect required specimens, and observe output habits, skin condition, and other daily health patterns
• Complete or assist inmates with personal hygiene and care needs, provide complete bed care, help with meals and hydration, and observe sleep patterns
• Support inmate mobility, provide comfort adjustments, and follow all infection control procedures and universal healthcare precautions
• Record all care actions provided and observations of inmate conditions and needs, complete and submit reports on time, and maintain electronic health records
• Keep spaces orderly and clean; promptly report all hazards, medical emergencies, or situations that affect normal operations; and attend trainings
