About The Position
The Nurse Aide in Training Program (CNA Trainee Program) at Cherrydale Post Acute offers a unique opportunity for individuals to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at no cost. This 6-week program, in partnership with Impact CNA School, provides tuition-paid training, equipping participants with the necessary skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience for a healthcare career. Upon successful completion and certification, trainees have the opportunity to join Cherrydale Post Acute as a full-time CNA. Cherrydale Post Acute emphasizes a supportive culture, growth, and appreciation, with many long-term employees. The facility is a 132-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Greenville, SC, led by a dedicated team.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Reliable transportation
- Compassion for the senior population
- A strong desire to build a career in healthcare
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Eligible for enrollment in a state-approved CNA training program
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities
- Gain skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Provide exceptional resident care in a skilled nursing environment.
- Learn and apply fundamentals of resident care.
- Implement infection prevention and safety procedures.
- Utilize proper communication and customer service skills.
- Assist with resident mobility and transfer techniques.
- Provide assistance with personal care and daily living activities.
- Support resident nutrition, hydration, and meal service.
- Observe and report resident condition changes.
- Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork in a healthcare setting.
