About The Position

DocStar Medical Partners is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (FNP or PA) with strong orthopedic and spine experience to support two neurosurgeons in a rural health facility in Minnesota. This is a long-term assignment with a consistent Monday-Thursday schedule, though some weeks may be Tuesday-Friday. The APP will split time between Spine OR coverage (1-2 days/week) and clinic (musculoskeletal & spine). The role offers a 4-day workweek with no weekend, holiday, or after-hours responsibilities. Normal workdays are 8-9 hours. Procedures are primarily minimally invasive, with one surgeon also performing scoliosis cases. Proficiency in EMR documentation and medical coding is required. A Minnesota license is preferred, but candidates eligible for MN licensure will be considered. BLS and ACLS certifications are needed. Preferred experience includes 1+ years in spine surgery or inpatient hospital medicine, and familiarity with orthopedic devices, injections, and minor procedures. The ideal candidate is an FNP or PA with spine surgery experience, comfortable in both OR and clinic settings, experienced with minimally invasive spine procedures, and either MN licensed or license-eligible. They should value a steady, no-call schedule and be comfortable working within a coordinated surgical team.
