NP/PA Orthopedic Surgery (Fracture Clinic - Outpatient) Opening in San Diego, CA
About The Position
Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Orthopedic Surgery Division and support the fracture clinic. This is a full-time, salaried position based at the San Diego Main Clinic. The role is 100% outpatient, with no after-hours work, call, or inpatient responsibilities. The provider will work collaboratively with a supervising orthopedic physician to evaluate and manage adult patients age 18 and older who need acute or follow-up fracture care. The position uses a team-based collaborative practice model, including joint patient visits and shared decision-making to develop comprehensive treatment plans. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 1.0 FTE, with one hour for lunch. Sharp Rees-Stealy is a physician-led, multispecialty group with an integrated care model and clinics supported by nursing, medical assistant, and operations teams.
Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant qualification.
- At least 2 years of full-time experience as an NP or PA in an orthopedic surgery setting or similar.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage adult patients presenting with acute and follow-up fracture care needs.
- Work closely with a supervising orthopedic physician in a collaborative practice model.
- Participate in joint patient visits and shared decision-making to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Support the Sharp Rees-Stealy fracture clinic.
