About The Position
This is a locum tenens position for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine at a Level IV Trauma Center in Corsicana, Texas. The role involves providing comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in the ED, performing assessments, ordering and interpreting tests, collaborating with specialists, and documenting encounters in the Medhost EMR system. The coverage period is from September 15, 2026, ongoing, with 10-hour shifts. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
Requirements
- Active Texas License and DEA required
- ATLS and ACLS required
- 2 years of emergency medicine experience required
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in the ED.
- Perform initial patient assessments, including history and physical exams.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
- Collaborate with attending physicians and specialists for patient management.
- Document patient encounters accurately in Medhost EMR.
