About The Position

Join a collaborative, high-functioning team in a busy ER setting that includes 12 Physicians and 3 Advanced Practice Clinicians. This department based at our 32nd Avenue campus offers an efficient and effective practice for a team-oriented candidate desiring to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention and disease management. The NP/PA may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.
  • Must be able to see patients of all ages.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP).
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state.
  • Current certification in CPR.
  • National certification, in applicable area.
  • Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
  • Experienced candidates with backgrounds in Emergency Medicine preferred.
  • Ability to provide care to all ages.
  • Complex patient case mix averaging 90-100 ED patients per 24-hour period.

  • Preference for Emergency Medicine background.
