This position is per diem Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), located in Boston, MA currently has an opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our cutting-edge Inpatient Oncology team, caring for inpatients with Solid Tumors. Requirements

Minimum 2 years of APP required
Minimum 2 years of prior experience in an acute care/inpatient environment (either as RN or APP), with medicine, ICU or oncology experience highly desirable.
Master's degree in nursing, national certification in advanced practice nursing OR master's degree in physician associate studies, with certification by NCCPA.
Registered Nurse [RN - State License]
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN] [MA] preferred
Skilled in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings.
Ability to maintain quality control standards.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public

Responsibilities

Participating in daily interdisciplinary rounds
Collaboratively develop and implement care plans
Coordinating tests and consultations, communicating with referring clinicians and consults, performing patient education, and preparing patients for discharge.
Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural setting
Performs complete histories and physical examinations
Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests
Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings
Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes and discharge summaries
Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population
Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures
