About The Position

The North Campus Facilities & Safety Manager serves as the primary operational representative for North Campus and the primary point of contact with the Director of Operations and ECS Associate Dean for Research. The role ensures compliance with institutional policies and operational standards, conducts campus walkthroughs and operational assessments, communicates campus needs, concerns, and risks, and implements operational initiatives and policies. It also oversees safety inspections, compliance reviews, corrective actions, risk mitigation, and the maintenance of inspection and incident documentation. The manager monitors facilities and grounds, coordinates maintenance and repairs, and ensures emergency systems and infrastructure remain operational. The position reports updates and information to the Director of Operations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a closely related field.
5–7 years of experience in operations, facilities management, compliance, or a related field.
Experience coordinating multiple projects and stakeholders, or experience working with safety, risk management, regulatory compliance, or operational oversight.
Ability to move throughout campus facilities for extended periods.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
Ability to sit for extended periods while performing administrative duties and computer work.
Ability to frequently use a computer, telephone, and standard office equipment.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs, and navigate campus environments.
Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance or equipment.

Responsibilities

Maintain inspection and incident documentation.
Monitor facilities and grounds.
Coordinate maintenance and repair activities.
Ensure emergency systems and infrastructure remain operational.
