About The Position

The Facilities & Safety Manager serves as the primary operational representative for North Campus and ensures compliance with institutional policies and operational standards. The role conducts campus walkthroughs and operational assessments and provides updates and reports to the Director of Operations. The position serves as the primary point of contact with the Director of Operations and ECS Associate Dean for Research, communicating campus needs, concerns, and risks, and implementing operational initiatives and policies. It oversees safety inspections, compliance reviews, corrective actions, risk mitigation, and inspection and incident documentation. The role monitors facilities and grounds, coordinates maintenance and repairs, and ensures emergency systems and infrastructure remain operational. The work involves moving throughout campus facilities and performing administrative duties and computer work. Occasional evening, weekend, or emergency-response availability may be required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a closely related field.
5–7 years of experience in operations, facilities management, compliance, or a related field.
Experience coordinating multiple projects and stakeholders, or experience working with safety, risk management, regulatory compliance, or operational oversight.
Ability to move throughout campus facilities for extended periods.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
Ability to sit for extended periods while performing administrative duties and computer work.
Ability to frequently use a computer, telephone, and standard office equipment.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs, and navigate campus environments.
Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance or equipment.
May require occasional evening, weekend, or emergency-response availability.
