About The Position

This role involves assisting in the administration and monitoring of HPE NonStop systems to ensure stability and performance. The administrator will support senior team members in configuring NonStop Network CLIMs and other networking components, perform routine tasks involving secure communication protocols like SSH and SSL, and assist with SSL certificate handling and encryption activities. The position also includes supporting the configuration and maintenance of NonStop PROXY services, setting up and maintaining DNS and Nameserver configurations, and using basic OSS/Linux commands for administrative and diagnostic functions. Additionally, the role involves assisting with the setup and configuration of HPE Insight Remote Support (IRS) for system monitoring and making minor updates to TACL scripts for automation.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of networking principles and data communication fundamentals.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, SSH, and SSL concepts.
• Hands-on experience with NonStop systems.
• Familiarity with OSS/Linux command-line usage.
• Basic understanding of encryption/decryption concepts and SSL certificates.
• Understanding of DNS and Nameserver basics.
• Ability to learn and interpret TACL scripts.
• Interest in system diagnostics, including protocol tracing and Wireshark analysis.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to NonStop PROXY configurations is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the administration and monitoring of HPE NonStop systems to ensure stability and performance.
• Support senior team members in configuring NonStop Network CLIMs and other networking components.
• Perform routine tasks involving secure communication protocols such as SSH and SSL.
• Assist in SSL certificate handling, encryption activities, and documentation.
• Support configuration and maintenance of NonStop PROXY services (e.g., FTPS, FTPC, PROXYS).
• Help set up and maintain DNS and Nameserver configurations.
• Make minor updates to prewritten TACL scripts for automation tasks.
• Use basic OSS/Linux commands for administrative and diagnostic functions.
• Assist with the setup and configuration of HPE Insight Remote Support (IRS) for system monitoring.
• Perform basic troubleshooting using tools such as protocol traces and Wireshark.
