About The Position
Riverside Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist with expertise in Advanced Heart Failure to join their highly respected team at Riverside Cardiology Specialists in Newport News, Virginia. This full-time role involves diagnosing and managing heart conditions using advanced imaging and testing, without performing surgical procedures. The position focuses on evaluating and treating heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease, interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, developing long-term care plans, coordinating care with specialists, and educating patients on lifestyle modifications. The role is part of an expanding specialty network aimed at delivering innovative, multispecialty care to patients with complex cardiac needs, working closely with the Heart Failure Clinic and supported by a hospital CHF navigator, experienced cardiologists, and a collaborative care team.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Virginia
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease (American Board of Internal Medicine)
- Valid DEA registration
Responsibilities
- Evaluating and treating heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease
- Interpreting diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, cardiac MRI, and stress tests
- Prescribing medications and developing long-term care plans
- Coordinating care with interventional cardiologists and other specialists
- Educating patients on lifestyle modifications and preventive strategies
- Providing Cardiology Services to Include: Cardiac MRI, SPECT Myocardial Perfusion Imaging & Stress Testing, Echocardiography, Holter Monitoring
