About The Position
Stark State College is seeking four (4) non-federal work study student Ambassadors to collaborate with College officials. These ambassadors will serve as hosts, tour guides, student recruiters, and facilitators for major college events, acting as liaisons between the College and the community. Depending on the time of year, Ambassadors may also be assigned tasks within the Admissions Office. This position offers an hourly wage of $11.00, along with a $250 scholarship for each Fall and Spring term of employment. A minimum commitment of 4 hours per week is required.
Requirements
- Current student who has completed at least one semester at Stark State College.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Maintain a minimum of 12 credit hours during fall and spring terms.
- Available to work a flexible schedule.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Exhibit responsible decision-making.
- Be dependable.
- Reside in Ohio or be willing to relocate to Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Serve as hosts, tour guides, student recruiters, and facilitators of major college events.
- Act as liaisons between the College and the community.
- Assist with Admissions Office tasks as needed.
- Work a flexible schedule, including potential evening and weekend availability.
