About The Position

Transport Care Services is seeking to add a part-time para-transit Transportation Driver to our team to help provide safe passenger transportation and support to our day-to-day transportation needs. We are looking for compassionate and professional drivers who are seeking competitive pay, benefits, stability, and a career. Our operating hours are Monday-Friday from 4:30 am to 9:00 pm and Saturday-Sunday from 5:30 am to 7:00 PM. Training hours vary from scheduled shifts. We provide onsite training, uniform shirts, a vehicle, and radio communication.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Active driver's license.
A clean driving record and background check.
Must be able to pass a DOT drug test, DOT physical exam, and a criminal background check.
Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
Be able to work within the hours of scheduled operation.
Driver will be required to sit for prolonged periods of time in the duration of any shift.
On occasion, driver will be required to lift and/or hold at least 20lbs.
Ability to push or pull up to 150lbs.

Nice To Haves

Professional driving and transport experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Transporting all passengers to their destinations safely and on-time.
Ensuring the safety of all passengers.
Operating motorized lift (will provide training).
Maintaining safe and clean vehicle conditions.
Providing excellent customer service.
Communicating effectively with staff and passengers.
Remaining professional and respectful to our clients of all ages, gender and race.
Understand and follow driving laws, ordinances, and regulations.
Assisting passengers to and from, on and off of vehicle, including wheelchair and walker bound passengers.
Hooking and harnessing said passengers into vehicle.
