About The Position

Eaglecrest Ski Area is seeking positive, enthusiastic skiers and snowboarders to fill Non-Certified Instructor positions. The role involves teaching skills to beginners and first-time guests, ensuring they have a great experience and wish to return. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people of all ages and demographics, communicating in a friendly and welcoming manner, and is willing to work on the mountain in various weather conditions.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency as an advanced/expert skier or snowboarder in a variety of conditions.
• Must be able to work outside in severe weather conditions.
• Employment is contingent upon passing an Eaglecrest ski instructor evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Teach and/or independently teach skiing or snowboarding lessons to children and beginners.
• Keep classes on the lower mountain where supervisors and higher-level instructors are available for immediate assistance.
• Assist higher-level instructors on the upper mountain as the year progresses and teaching skills improve.
• Assist with setting up and tearing down for special events and teaching areas.
• Further personal ski and snowboard skills through instruction on communicating these skills to students.
