About The Position

Eaglecrest Ski Area is seeking qualified individuals for its Eaglecrest Certified Instructor Level I positions. The ideal candidates are positive, enthusiastic skiers and snowboarders who are willing to work in various weather conditions and teach skills to all levels of skiers and snowboarders. They will be responsible for ensuring guests have a great experience and wish to return. The role requires individuals who enjoy interacting with people of all ages and demographics and can communicate in a friendly and welcoming manner.

Requirements

Level I PSIA/AASI Certification or foreign equivalency.
Demonstrate proficiency as an advanced/expert skier or snowboarder regardless of conditions.
Ability to work outside in severe weather conditions.
PSIA/AASI Level I or comparable certification at time of appointment and for continued employment.

Responsibilities

Teach up to 6 guests on the lower mountain only for children and beginners.
Maintain accurate class records, including student skill level, program or lesson taught, and notes on student development and learning progress.
Fill out accurate incident/accident reports in a timely manner.
Fill out timesheets to correctly reflect the number of students, time, and class.
Participate in department cross-training for mountain safety.
