Non-Certified Dental Assistant
About The Position
El Centro Family Health is seeking a full-time Non-Certified Dental Assistant to support affordable, accessible, quality health care for the people of Northern New Mexico. Under general supervision, this entry-level role provides clinical, administrative, and staff support for the full range of dental services. The assistant helps carry out dental procedures, policies, and standards and supports day-to-day patient administration, records management, and office operations. The role includes chairside assistance to a Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist during operative, preventive, periodontal, endodontic, prosthetic, and oral surgical procedures. Travel to outlying clinics may be needed.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- No prior experience is necessary; this is an entry-level position. Experienced Assistants are also encouraged to apply.
- Apply for and complete radiology requirements within six months of hire.
- Obtain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
- Complete a TST test.
- Receive the HepB vaccine or submit a declination.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a diverse community.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluent knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office Excel and Word, Internet Explorer, and Outlook.

Responsibilities
