About The Position

Clear Lakes Dental is seeking a full-time Certified Dental Assistant to support care for patients of all ages. The role involves preparing patients and treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and assisting dentists, EFDAs, and hygienists with patient treatments. The assistant is expected to be organized and detail-oriented while providing exceptional patient care. The position is non-exempt and hourly. The posting states compensation of $20 and provides fully paid training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Good computer skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Attention to detail, organization, and reliability.
• Desire to learn more about the dental industry.

Nice To Haves

• Secondary education.
• Certificate in Coronal Polishing.
• Certificate in Dental Radiography/X-Ray.
• Certificate in Sealant Application.
• CPR training.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish, Somali, Oromo, or Hmong.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and hygienists during procedures.
• Sterilize instruments and set up operatories between patients.
• Take and process dental X-rays.
• Document treatment plans and patient notes accurately.
• Apply sealants, fluoride, and other preventive treatments.
• Educate patients on postoperative care.
• Keep the workspace safe, clean, and HIPAA-compliant.
• Assist EFDAs and hygienists with patient treatments.
