About The Position

As a member of VPNE’s growing transportation division, the Non-CDL Shuttle Driver safely transports employees and customers from parking facilities to their designated areas. The driver provides exceptional service and prioritizes safety, while ensuring the vehicle is clean, maintained, compliant with company standards, and representative of the company’s brand.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Requirements

• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Updated DOT Medical Clearance Card.
• DPU Certification.
• Ability to sit for long periods and walk short distances.
• Manual dexterity to operate a shuttle bus safely.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Willingness and ability to smile during every passenger interaction.
• Ability to maintain uniform standards while at the account.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Driving record must meet company standards.
• Ability to pass the company-issued driving test.
• Ability to build relationships with customers.
• Time management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety standards while transporting employees to their designated areas.
• Ensure the vehicle meets all safety requirements and update the maintenance schedule.
• Follow traffic signs and laws and maintain posted speed limits.
• Ensure all passengers are authorized to board the shuttle.
• Maintain the assigned schedule to minimize delays.
• Provide passengers with a positive experience and promptly resolve or escalate issues to an appropriate authority.
• Extend the Exceptional Care philosophy at all times.
• Communicate necessary information concisely and professionally to managers and passengers, in person or via shuttle radio.
