About The Position

As a member of VPNE’s transportation division, the Non-CDL Shuttle Driver safely transports employees and customers from parking facilities to their designated areas. The driver provides exceptional service, prioritizes safety, and ensures the vehicle is clean, maintained, and meets company standards and brand representation. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Requirements

• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Updated DOT Medical Clearance Card.
• DPU Certification.
• Able to sit for long periods and walk short distances.
• Manual dexterity to operate a shuttle bus safely.
• Strong sense of customer service and ability to create relationships with customers.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Able and willing to smile during every customer interaction with passengers.
• Maintain uniform standards while around the account.
• Able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Driving record must meet company standards.
• Successfully pass a company-issued driving test.
• Time-management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety standards while transporting employees to their designated areas.
• Ensure the vehicle meets all safety requirements and update the maintenance schedule.
• Follow traffic signs and laws and maintain posted speed limits.
• Ensure all passengers are authorized to board the shuttle.
• Maintain a set schedule to minimize delays.
• Provide passengers with a positive experience and promptly resolve or escalate issues to an authority figure.
• Extend the Exceptional Care philosophy at all times.
• Communicate necessary information concisely and professionally to managers and passengers, in person or via shuttle radio.
• Keep the vehicle clean and maintained and ensure it meets company standards and brand representation.
