About The Position

As a member of VPNE’s growing transportation division, the Non-CDL Shuttle Driver safely transports employees and customers from parking facilities to their designated areas. The driver provides exceptional service while prioritizing safety, and ensures the vehicle is clean, maintained, and meets company standards and brand representation.

Requirements

• Entry-level experience.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Updated DOT Medical Clearance Card.
• DPU Certification.
• Able to sit for long periods and walk short distances.
• Manual dexterity to operate a shuttle bus safely.
• Strong customer-service skills and ability to build relationships with customers.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Able and willing to smile during every customer interaction with passengers.
• Maintain uniform standards while at the account.
• Able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Driving record must meet company standards.
• Ability to successfully pass a company-issued driving test.
• Time-management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety standards while transporting employees to their designated areas.
• Ensure the vehicle meets all safety requirements and update the maintenance schedule.
• Follow traffic signs and laws and maintain posted speed limits.
• Ensure all passengers are authorized to board the shuttle.
• Maintain a set schedule to minimize delays.
• Ensure each passenger has a positive experience and promptly resolve or escalate issues to a member of authority.
• Extend the Exceptional Care philosophy at all times.
• Convey necessary information concisely and professionally to managers and passengers, in person or via shuttle radio.
