About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens opportunity for a Nocturnist in Eureka, CA. The role involves providing comprehensive inpatient medical care, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharges, from 7 PM to 7 AM. The coverage period is from October 19-25, 2026. The hospital has 144 beds, including 12 ICU beds, and utilizes the Epic EMR system. The physician will respond to rapid response and code situations, coordinate care with specialists and nursing staff, perform histories and physical examinations, and document patient encounters.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Licensed in CA
- DEA required
- BLS certification
- Clean Record
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care including admissions, daily rounds, and discharges.
- Respond to rapid response and code situations within the hospital.
- Coordinate care with consulting specialists and nursing staff.
- Perform thorough histories and physical examinations for new admissions.
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR.
