About The Position

District Medical Group (DMG) is seeking a full-time pediatric nocturnist to join their team of 8 pediatric hospitalists. This role involves providing medical education and patient care at a public teaching hospital in Phoenix, AZ. The hospital is a major affiliate of the University of Arizona College of Medicine and Creighton University School of Medicine. The pediatric services include a 24-hour Pediatric Emergency Department, a 10-bed pediatric in-patient unit, a 6-bed PICU, a busy newborn nursery, and a Level III NICU. Pediatric hospitalists cover the Inpatient Pediatric Unit, Couplet Care, and Level II Nurseries, conducting daily rounds with pediatric residents and medical students. The position is passionate about teaching and clinical quality.

Requirements

• BC/BE in Pediatrics required.
• Full-time availability.

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric hospital medicine BC/BE preferred but not required.
• Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical education and patient care at a public teaching hospital.
• Cover the Inpatient Pediatric Unit, Couplet Care, and Level II Nurseries.
• Conduct daily rounds with pediatric residents and medical students.
• Teach family medicine residents.
