About The Position
Nocturnist Opportunity – Sierra Vista, Arizona. Join an established hospitalist program in Sierra Vista, Arizona, as a full-time nocturnist. This position is ideal for an internal medicine physician who enjoys working independently overnight while remaining connected to a collaborative, well-supported team. Practice in an academic environment with an internal medicine residency program. Teaching opportunities are available for physicians interested in working with residents.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in internal medicine.
- Comfortable managing an overnight schedule and providing high-quality care during nighttime hours.

- Interest in working with residents for teaching opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Average of approximately 10 admissions per night with resident support.
- Approximately 60 overnight floor calls.
- Participate as a member of the rapid response team.
- Perform intubations, central lines, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and ventilator management.
- Utilize Cerner electronic medical record system.
Benefits
- Nocturnist shift rate of $2,100.
- Base compensation of $383,250 annually.
- Additional RVU and quality bonus opportunities.
- $50,000 sign-on bonus.
- Up to $75,000 in student loan repayment distributed over three years.
