About The Position
Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center - Shreveport seek applicants for an Academic Nocturnist/Hospitalist in the Department of Medicine. We are growing our hospitalist program to cover all inpatient and Medicine and Surgical teams. This academic health sciences center is home to the School of Medicine, School of Graduate Studies and School of Allied Health Professions and a robust research enterprise, with more than 800 students enrolled in degree programs and nearly 600 residents and fellows trained each year. The facility is home to the only Level I Trauma center in the surrounding region, and one of only two in the state. The role involves working within a collegial and multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses to collaborate on a customized plan of care for each patient, with physician leadership and input at all levels of administration. Procedures are not required.
Requirements
- Board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Eligible for active Louisiana Medical Licensure.
- Graduating Internal Medicine residents are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities
